Oliver Dollar + Local Support
OLIVER DOLLAR
The past decade has seen his star steadily rise to be a recognizable staple within house music. But it was 2011 when this Berlin based producer gained the attention he deserved in the form of his first breakthrough record “Doin’ Ya Thang” on Play It Down. This bona fide classic remained at #1 on Beatport for an incredible 5 weeks and continued to sit in the top ten for months selling over 60k downloads to date. It has been streamed over 13 million times on all platforms and to this day is being played in clubs around the world.
Proving this was no fluke, in 2014 he released his biggest smash yet as he united with Swiss Jazz House aficionado Jimi Jules for their much -hyped ‘Pushing On’ released on the mighty Defected. Not only did it give Dollar #1 status on Beatport again, it was also a huge cross - over hit featuring in the UK national charts (peaking at #15). This record has been streamed over 70 million times on all platforms, cementing Oliver in the house music big league, and has earned him a silver disc for its 200,000 sales!
Fast forward to 2019 and he released his much - anticipated debut album on the legendary Classic Music Company which delivered a selection of killer cuts, featuring some formidable collaborating artists, and world class remixes that followed from the likes of Cassius, Mousse T, Riva Starr, Todd Edwards, Paul Johnson & Scan 7. Oliver toured to promote the album extensively following its release, taking in a 22 date summer tour of the USA, then touching down in Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, and much of Europe. A touring pattern he continues to rotate.
During all this time Oliver has continued to deliver his signature disco & soul influenced house sound, releasing on some of the world’s best labels including Cajual, Relief, Dopewax, Snatch!, Yoruba, & Robsoul among others; whilst also picking up remixes of such titans as Green Velvet, Riva Starr, Romathony, Boris Dlugosch & DJ Sneak along the way.
Of course it was only a matter of time before Oliver launched his own label ‘Industry Standard’. Oliver comments “I always wanted to do a label...The vision is to have crazy quality control, I don’t want to put out a release every month.” The label is continuing to grow with a core group of artists releasing music and developing the IS Music sound.
2024 sees more releases planned on his own Industry Standard, and other world class house labels including Defected & Rekids. Industry Standard have started doing label parties, with Spot Lite, Detroit hosting events, and more in the pipeline. With more touring in the diary to spread his house gospel, you know Oliver will continue to keep pushing on another day for another dollar!
LOCAL SUPPORT TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON… STAY TUNED.

Soul Searchin’ : A documentary on rare soul record collectors
Join us for a night of films & vinyl record DJ's. Featuring the award winning documentary, Soul Searchin'.
Soul Searchin' is an award winning feature length documentary by filmmakers Jesus Cruz and Alex Vigano.
Join us Saturday April 11th 2026 at The Sonder Bar in Portland, OR for a special evening of films and vinyl. This is event is 21+.
AGENDA:
7pm - Doors open with vinyl sets by
Misterxbubbles (Anacortes, WA), Waxvillain (Seattle, WA), Soulero4533 (Portland, OR), Laughing Boy (Stocktone, CA), Selector - T (Long Beach, CA), Ruben Molina (Los Angeles, CA).
8pm - Film Screenings + Filmmaker Q&A - Jesus Cruz and Alex Vigano (Soul Searchin') Shontel Horne (Why I Love You: Meet The Ultimates).
10pm to Close - More vinyl sets.
The Films -
Tommy Siquerio: El Mero Mero Viejo Soulero (8 min) - Tommy Siqueiro was a long time record collector from San Jose, CA. This film reflects on Tommy's life and his passion for rare soul oldies which inspired a generation of collectors.
Why I Love You: Meet The Ultimates (17 min) - The West Philly teenage group The Ultimates recorded a sweet, heartfelt song called "Why I Love You" that got little attention when it was released. But now, the song has been rediscovered as a lost soul music classic. And it's giving the trio of Monica Thornton, Debra Herbin and Shirley Carter - now in their 60's - a new audience, half a century later.
Soul Searchin' (68 minutes) - Soul Searchin’ explores the passionate world of rare soul record collectors who devote their lives to finding, preserving, and sharing forgotten music. More than a film about collecting, it is a story of cultural preservation, community, and obsession, following a small group of collectors as they rescue neglected recordings by Black and Chicano soul artists and transform forgotten songs into living history—from California to the world.
